The step-by-step preparation for the focaccia recipe with parmesan and smoked sausages is presented below:

Low potatoes with sausages and pickles

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 gr white potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 500 gr well ripened tomatoes
  • 300 gr lightly spicy and smoked sausages
  • 4-5 pickled cucumbers
  • 1 morcov murat
  • 2-3 pcs. pickled peppers
  • 200 ml of hot water
  • salt and pepper
  • thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • parsley and green dill

METHOD OF PREPARATION

First we cut the sausages into small pieces and brown them in hot oil.

We clean the potatoes, wash them well and cut them into cubes.

Remove the sausages in another bowl and add the potatoes instead. We mix them well for 1-2 minutes on the fire, we don't fry them, we just keep them a little long enough to take on taste and color.

Remove the potatoes from the oil, strain the oil, wipe the pan and put it back on the fire.

Peel the onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Chop the onion into strips and garlic slices and put them to harden in hot oil.

We don't fry them, we just let them penetrate easily and sprinkle them with hot water from time to time.

When the onion becomes glassy and penetrated, add the peeled and diced tomatoes.

Add a bay leaf, a sprig of thyme, or a little dried thyme and let the tomatoes boil until a thick sauce results.

Meanwhile, cut the cucumbers and carrot into small pieces and immerse them in cold water. We leave them for 7-8 minutes, no more. We also chop the donuts into smaller pieces.

Add the potatoes, sausages, pickles and top with very little hot water over the tomato sauce. Place a lid on the pot and let the food simmer over low heat for 10-12 minutes. Stir from time to time so that it does not stick. Towards the end of cooking, add another clove of grated garlic, salt and pepper to taste.

We serve the low potato dish with sausages and pickles sprinkled with lots of greens.

It is not a really healthy food, but it is so tasty that it is worth, from time to time, to indulge in a small portion of it.

Re: Peasant potatoes

I usually make these potatoes when it's fasting. Or: heat the onion and then add the diced potatoes and add water to half the potatoes and let it boil. The water decreases and a more consistent sauce is made. Or another recipe: cook (just a few seconds) a lot of julienned onions over which I put raw potatoes cut into slices, spices and let it cook, stirring often, it can stick to the pan because there is not much oil. Now when it's season you can put green onions

Ioana 9 years ago - April 28, 2009 11:14

Re: Peasant potatoes

I also make the second option with green onions, but I also put some diced tomatoes, it turns out really good. and although they catch a little pot, that burn is super good

how many new ideas for such a seemingly trivial recipe!

Rustic potatoes. We used to eat them a lot at "Sura Dacilor" in Poiana Brasov. I don't even know if this restaurant still exists!
Ioana, I make them exactly like you, only that together with the onion I put a little sliced pepper (I know you don't like it) but it's also very good with the pepper version!

Re: Peasant potatoes

I put them on the grater, and in the onion with paprika, I also put red peppers - summer in the garden, winter in the jar, finely chopped, and over a teaspoon of sugar and then salt. And a little polish of bone broth. Boil a little to dissolve the salt and sugar, and form a thicker sauce and then add chopped parsley and a little green onion and acrtophiles. Stir quickly, but with the pot removed from the heat. Very good accompanied with schnitzel and a tablespoon of sour cream. A miracle!

Re: Peasant potatoes

Hi girls. I make this recipe differently. that is, boil the potatoes after they have cooled, peel them and put them on the large grater. In a frying pan, heat 2-3 onions, depending on the size, to make them golden, then put the grated potatoes and mix to incorporate the onion. Add salt and pepper to taste or if you cook with vegeta, add the vegeta, as they come out very good. leave it on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally so that it doesn't burn (they also make a crust). if there is not enough oil I add a little more. they are excellent with beef or pork steak and an apple sauce.

Re: Peasant potatoes

this is a Hungarian dish, in our country they are called potatoes in onions, vegeta is a must for this food. They are better with Viennese snacks, they are a bit fatty with steak. If you have mashed potatoes, the next day you can prepare the puree just like on peasant potatoes, they are just as tasty.

Re: Peasant potatoes

Wow, what a jump on the potatoes in onion sauce! But I don't know how my hair and the face of fried onions smell. I have been making potatoes for a long time without frying - I don't even see what else a good fried vegetable contains for the body - onions, peppers, carrots, sometimes this nauseating mixture stinks and you can cook without it. Just cut small cubes and lightly fried in oil, then pepper water and cube of whatever you want, no broth, no fried vegetables and lid. And a fine potato dish comes out, hat down! Then if you want you can bake them with sour cream and bacon and boiled eggs and French fries come out, or put what you have around the house and divide the tray into segments, one with cheese, ham, wine and pepper, another with eggs and sour cream, another with mustard, sausage and various spices, another with tomato paste and meat, fried liver. You can also make a cream dressing with garlic sauce over the potatoes on the plate when there is not enough meat, as can happen, or fasting when you do not want to eat meat, but in any case, I recommend you salt and pepper the potatoes well. boiled and cut the slices that you put in the pan and the cumin is great with boiled potatoes cut into slices and a little garlic and tomato paste and oil. But of all the best ones, they are smoked, either you fry smoked sausage in a pan and then in that flavor you cook the potatoes and you put water, pepper and lid to simmer and let the aroma go, or you bake it and it's also with fried ham and eggs boiled and greasy cream and pepper and from him you really lick your fingers, beat children, divorce only for a moment to enjoy yourself full!

Personally, some baked potatoes in their skin, then cleaned with butter and parsley, would be better next to a skewer.

Re: Peasant potatoes

you see that you gave it 5 stars, the less you liked the recipe, the less stars you have to give. 5 stars are for the excellent ones. 1 star for those you didn't like at all.

How are these peasant potatoes made in the oven?

The potatoes are washed and peeled. If they are new potatoes, they are washed well with cold water and rubbed lightly with a sponge. It is not necessary to clean them of thin skin. Washed potatoes are sliced into thin slices of approx. 0.5 cm.

What spices do we use for peasant potatoes?

It is clear that if we make peasant potatoes we have to put paprika (paprika), cumin and onion. That's in addition to salt and pepper. So, in a bowl, place the potatoes, spices and onion slices. Add about 3-4 tablespoons of oil and shake the bowl well so that the spices reach all sides of the potato. You can also use 1 tablespoon of homemade lard instead of oil. Here you see how to prepare lard and scallops.

Choose a heat-resistant tray (metal, ceramic or Jena glass) and arrange the potatoes according to everyone's imagination. You can also flip them out of the bowl without creating a special pattern. I placed them nicely in a circle in a cast iron pan that I can put in the oven (it doesn't have a wooden or ebonite handle). I added a few more oregano leaves from my own herb garden.

  • boiled potatoes - 500 grams
  • salt to taste
  • butter - 50 grams
  • eggs - 2 pieces
  • sausages - 8 pieces
  • lard (for lubrication) - 100 grams
  • flour - how much will enter.

Potato cakes with sausages. Step by step recipe

  4. Put a sheet of parchment on a baking sheet, grease it well with grease. Place the pies on the parchment with the seam facing up and grease well, both on top and on the sides.
